The platform
Ration is a collaboration platform built as one product
Mail, chat, meetings, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and forms in a single workspace — with one policy engine deciding access across all of them, and a choice of where the whole thing runs.
What a collaboration platform has to cover
Most organisations do not buy a collaboration platform. They accumulate one — mail from one vendor, chat from another, meetings from a third, a forms tool somebody expensed. Each is defensible on its own. Together they produce overlapping subscriptions, four admin consoles, and security policy that is only as good as the weakest of them.
Ration is assembled the other way round. The modules are designed against each other from the start, so the same identity, the same directory and the same permissions apply everywhere.
- Message — threaded business mail on your own domain
- Chat — direct and group messaging, with a call one click from the same header
- Meet — a meeting workspace with upcoming, live, past, library and recordings
- Calendar — shared schedules from day view to year view, with assisted scheduling
- Contact — personal address books beside the organisational directory
- Tasks and Notes — everyday work kept next to the conversation that created it
- Forms — structured data collection that routes into work, not a spreadsheet
One policy engine, not one per module
The practical difference between an integrated platform and a bundle shows up when someone leaves. In a bundle, revocation is a checklist across four consoles. In Ration, roles and policy are set once from a single admin console and one policy engine decides access across every module.
Revocation takes effect immediately rather than at cache expiry, and grants, shares and moderation actions are written to an audit trail. External participants can be admitted to a specific room without gaining access to anything else.
Run it where your policy requires
The same platform ships in three editions. Ration Cloud is hosted and maintained by us. The MSP edition runs in a partner environment serving many customer organisations from one deployment. The on-premise edition is deployed to your own hardware or IaaS, where your existing security controls apply.
This is a deployment choice, not a feature tier — the modules are the same in all three.
Your existing clients keep working
Ration speaks the standards your organisation already uses, so a migration does not have to begin with retraining everybody. Outlook and mobile mail clients connect as normal.
- ActiveSync, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP for mail
- CalDAV for calendars, CardDAV for contacts
- Mail, contacts and calendars export whenever you ask for them
What is production-ready, and what is not
Mail, chat, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and forms are in production use today, as are one-to-one and group meetings. Large-scale conferencing is in testing and webinar broadcast with recording is still in development. Document editing is in testing — until it ships, Ration runs alongside whatever you use for documents today.
An app for each module is built and awaiting release on the app stores. Until they land, phones connect over ActiveSync for mail, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes.
Questions we get asked
What is Ration?
Ration is a collaboration platform that brings mail, chat, meetings, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, forms and workflows into one workspace. Its modules are designed to work together, and it can be deployed on Ration Cloud, in a supported regional environment, or within your own infrastructure.
Does Ration replace Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
For communication and collaboration, yes. Document editing is in testing — until it ships, Ration works alongside whatever you already use.
Do we have to host it ourselves?
No. Use our managed cloud, a supported regional deployment, or your own infrastructure. The platform is the same in all three.
Can we migrate from our current platform?
Yes — mail, contacts and calendars, including large mailbox estates. We scope the migration with you before you commit to anything.
How is Ration priced?
Per seat, in three tiers, billed in your local currency where available. Annual billing saves two months.

Modules
Business email
Mail on your own domain, speaking the standards your existing clients already use — and sitting in the same workspace as the chat, calendar and meetings it relates to.
Assurance
Secure messaging
Security that comes from how the platform is built and where it runs, rather than from a certificate on a marketing page.
Platform
Corporate messaging
Internal communication that stays in one place, under one directory and one set of rules — instead of scattering across a chat tool, a mail provider and whichever consumer app filled the gaps.
Platform
Enterprise collaboration
One workspace, one admin console and one policy engine across departments that have each been buying their own tools for years.
Sectors
Government collaboration
A communication and collaboration platform that can satisfy residency, jurisdiction, security and procurement requirements without making the software worse to use.
Sectors
Sovereign collaboration
Your data stays on the continent that governs it — or inside your own building, if that is what the policy says.
Modules
Workflow
Tasks, approvals and structured processes that live beside the chat and mail that created them, rather than in a separate tool somebody has to remember to update.
Modules
Forms
Data collection that lands somewhere useful — governed by the same directory and policy as the rest of the workspace, and able to start a process rather than just fill a sheet.
